A four-day circuit in the north of the big island will take you through the stone forest of Tsingy, the three bays of diego suarez, the humid forest to the Amber mountains to end in the fascinating canyon of Tsingy Rouge. The program then continues with a stay by the sea on an island in Ankazoberavina Jurassic Park, to end at Eden Lodge, renowned among the best ecolodge in the world.

Visit of the sugar factory in Dzamandzar – La Sirama (opened in 1920), which is a relic and historical monument despite its recent closure. Enter the heart of Dzamandzar and discover its village, its market, and its sculptures. Later, visiting the sacred Androadroatra waterfall to better understand the Sakalava culture.
Visit HellVille (capital of Nosy Be) with a visit to its historic buildings, such as the sub-prefecture and other colonial constructions. Visit the municipal market and the market of skillfully handmade tablecloths, typical of Nosy Be, and then head to the port.
Glimpse of the port, followed by free time for some purchases. Departure for the sacred tree, along the road to Fascene surrounded by its coffee, pepper, fruit trees, flowers and perfumes, Ylang Ylang, the sacred flower, discovering the countless plantations scattered throughout the island of Nosy Be.
Lunch based on products of the earth (ecolodge in the heart of Nosy Be).
The program continues in the afternoon in the direction of the Domaine de Florette to develop knowledge on the fauna and flora of Madagascar via the species and other endemic plants. It will be an opportunity to see the way of distillation of essential oil with the use of a traditional alambico. Another way to get to know Nosy Be beyond its magnificent beaches of fine sand.
Climb all the way up to get to Mont Passot where you can admire the sunset, to end the beautiful day.

Full of small coves and beautiful beaches, the walking route winds its way around the island through pineapple and ylang ylang plantations. In the crystal clear waters that surround it it is easy to meet schools of dolphins but above all it is known for the huge sea turtles that you can swim with. Lunch “pieds dans l’eau” in the shade of the numerous coconut palms, with snorkeling. Some kayaks and beach games are at your disposal, as well as a space for massages and relaxation. Ankify – Diégo-Suarez (Antsiranana)
Wake up at dawn, breakfast, transfer by private car to the port of Nosy Be, boarding for Ankify (30 min.) Meeting in Ankify with the guide and departure towards the North, through ever-changing landscapes, plantations, expanses of traveller’s palms and villages. 250 km of asphalted road (rough in some places), about 6 hours by car. Visit to the East Ankarana National Park.
Visit of the Mahamasina park, located about halfway between Ankify and Diego Suarez with a certified guide MADAGASCAR NATIONAL PARK.
The Park is characterized by dry tropical forest and rough forest paths.
The route varies, depending on the time available and physical conditions, from 2.5 to 4 hours of walking. Different possible circuits, in agreement with the guide, including: the Perte de Riviere, the Tsingy Tower, the Tsingy Rary, the Suspension Bridge and the “Bat Cave”. Lunch at the small restaurant “Chez Aurelien”, a typical structure Malagasy located at the entrance to the Ankarana Park Transfer to the hotel in Diego Suarez.

Diégo-Suarez (Antsiranana)
Visit Ramena and the Bays of Diego Suarez in 4×4 vehicle. Departure along the road to Ramena which runs along the large bay of Diego, through the village of Ankonrikakeli, up to the Bay of Sakalava, which we will reach in less than 1 hour, all the while seeing white sand dunes and centenary Baobabs. We will continue to the Bay of Pigeons and the Bay of the Dunes, where we will be able to enjoy an enchanting view of the Indian Ocean: islets, Cap Miné, the small Pass and the Emerald Sea. Opportunity to immerse yourself in the magnificent crystal clear waters of the bays, sheltered from the ocean by coral reefs and surrounded by white beaches. We will continue with a visit to the military ruins, the lighthouse, the village of Orangea, also overlooking a very white beach. In the afternoon walk to Ramena, a characteristic fishing village, which we will see constructing their typical pirogues, the characteristic repair of fishing nets on board the splendid 3 km long beach.
Lunch at the restaurant of Ramena, a traditional fishing village, fish specialties to be enjoyed surrounded by the rich tropical garden.
We will return to Diego Suarez in the afternoon and along the way we will find the Sugar Loaf islet, and the vast expanses of mangroves.

Diégo-Suarez (Antsiranana)
Visit to the Montagne d’Ambre National Park and the Tsingy Rouge Canyon. Visit the park of the Amber Mountains with a certified guide MADAGASCAR NATIONAL PARK for a path of about 2.5 hours of walking. Evergreen forest with humid tropical microclimate, forest paths, botanical paths, waterfalls. The park is home to 7 lemur species and a variety of endemic terrestrial species that can be observed in their natural environment.
Lunch at a local restaurant in Joffre Ville.
Visit to the fascinating natural geological formation site, created by the combination of combustions, erosions and infiltrations: the Tsingy Rouge made up of stoneware, marble and limestone, offer their ephemeral spiers in all their beauty, in the center of the only sedimentary basin of the Madagascar.

Diégo-Suarez (Antsiranana)-Ankazoberavina
Early morning departure from Diego Suarez heading south, lunch in a typical restaurant, 250 km of paved road (sometimes rough), about 6 hours by car. Once in Ankify, transfer to Ankazoberavina.
The island of trees with large leaves, is a real temple dedicated to nature. With the nearby uninhabited islet of Antsoha and the stack of Ankivonjy, they constitute one of the “integral protection” areas of Madagascar.

«Island of the turtles» So called because the crystal clear sea that surrounds it hosts numerous carella – carella tortoises that find shelter here to lay their eggs on its dazzling white beaches of very fine coral sand. It is almost a ritual to witness the spectacle of the hatching and the race towards the sea of the newborn baby turtles. It is the ideal place to relax or to take long walks on the beaches that surround it. The attractive island aconsists of two islets, joined by a strip of sand of about 2 km, which can be explored on foot at low tide.

Underwater National Park from 15 March 2010. It represents one of the most spectacular backdrops of tropical reef with a multitude of colorful fish, starfish, turtles, already visible in a few meters of depth, so can be seen while snorkeling. We go up the Bemaneviky river by boat immersed in a dense mangrove forest still populated by fish eagles, like scenes from “Indiana Jones”.
We will walk to a small traditional village. After a break and a snack in the village, we continue our ascent and search for the sacred Voay (the crocodile). Stop for a swim on the island of Kisimany and return to the lodge. EDEN LODGE FB.

After breakfast, departure by boat to discover the wild bay of Ampasindava. Stop in a fishing village on the small island of Mamoko, an ancient Arab mooring from the 15th century.
Visit of the village, manufacture of local boats and wooden pirogues, lemurs, giant land turtles. Snorkeling in the bay. Before returning, stop again on the Grand Terre at the waterfall and natural pool. On Sunday there is the possibility to attend the local market of Ambaliha. EDEN LODGE FB.
